Safe compressed air for highly sensitive medical applications

Oil-free compressed air supply for hospitals and medical practices

Whether in a hospital, clinic or doctor’s surgery – clean compressed air is essential for many applications in the medical sector. As one of the leading suppliers, Dürr Technik provides quiet, medical-grade compressors that impress with their compact design, flexibility and efficiency.
Many medical applications require high-quality, dry air. The combination of our oil-free piston compressors with fine filter units and our patented diaphragm drying system is perfectly suited to the production of medical-grade compressed air. In addition to centralised compressed air supply, our medical compressors perform a wide range of tasks in the field of decentralised compressed air supply.

Applications at a glance

Optimal air quality in the medical sector thanks to compressed air – with oil-free compressors

The quality of compressed air in hospitals and medical practices is crucial. The ISO 8573-1:2010 standard (compressed air class) classifies the quality and purity of compressed air according to the necessary properties and the pressure dew point. All medical compressors from Dürr Technik featuring a patented diaphragm dryer comply with the German condensation limit of 870 ppm (V/V), as these models have a pressure dew point of 2°C at a tank pressure of 7 bar. Our medical compressed air compressors comply with the limit for oil content of 0.01 mg/m³ of air as defined in the European Pharmacopoeia.

Where can I find further information about the individual devices?
A gas generator produces various gases, such as nitrogen, zero-air or hydrogen, directly on site. Depending on the device, the desired gas is obtained either from the ambient air or from deionised water – hygienically, on demand and without the need for bottled gas. In the laboratory, gas generators are used to supply instruments such as LC-MS, GC, spectrometers or analytical systems with reliable, high-purity gases.
Do the devices need servicing?
