Oil-free compressed air for your beer dispensing system
Top-quality beer thanks to oil-free compressors
In modern beer dispensing systems, oil-free compressed air has established itself as a particularly efficient, safe and sustainable solution. An oil-free compressor for beer dispensing systems ensures the highest air purity, is cost-effective and, at the same time, protects the quality of the beer. Oil-free compressors – such as the oil-free compressor stations from Dürr Technik – are used as a reliable source of compressed air for the operation of professional beer dispensing systems. Particularly in systems with beer pumps, oil-free compressed air ensures that the required system pressure is reduced, carbonation remains stable and beer losses are significantly reduced. Using oil-free compressed air in beer dispensing systems significantly reduces CO₂ consumption, the logistics involved in gas cylinders and the environmental footprint.

A wide range of applications
Thanks to our many years of experience and expertise in oil-free compressor technology for the drinks industry, we have specialised our oil-free compressors for a wide variety of applications. Our product range therefore enables you to meet the full air requirements of beer dispensing systems. Our oil-free compressor is frequently used to drive beer pumps. In addition, they are used for the following applications:
- all dispensing systems supplied by gas pumps
- optimal emptying of beer tanks
- driving syrup pumps
- to generate compressed air for nitrogen generators
- Bag-in-box system
- Franchise outlets
- Driving cleaning pumps
- Satellite shops
Quality through the highest level of air purity
Compressed air purity is a key criterion for many applications in the drinks industry and has a major influence on the quality of the end product. The compressed air used to operate the pump does not come into contact with the beer, thus protecting it from contamination and oxidation. And even though the beer pump increases the pressure in the beer line, the natural carbon dioxide in the beer cannot escape. This allows you to maintain the beer’s natural level of carbonation and offer your customers high-quality draught beer.

A reliable drive for your pneumatic beverage pump
As well as in bars and pubs, our oil-free compressors can also be found in sports stadiums and cinemas, where our products prove to be absolutely reliable when demand is high and there is a need to serve a large number of customers in the shortest possible time.
When combined with a pneumatically operated beverage pump – such as a renowned Flojet or Shurflo pump in a dispensing system – oil-free compressors from Dürr Technik are particularly reliable and durable, especially at peak times. Fitted with a 3µ particle filter, Dürr Technik’s oil-free compressors also ensure that the beer pumps remain clean on the inside.
About the compressor systems
Compressor type and number of pumps depending on the dispensing volume
| Type | Tank capacity in litres | Number of pumps* | Max. Dispensing rate total in l/min |
| UA-025 | 3 | 1 | 2 |
| WA-038 | 10 | 2 | 4 |
| TA-038 | 25 | 2 | 4 |
| TA-061 | 25 | 4 | 8 |
| TA-065 | 25 | 4 | 8 |
| TA-100C1 | 25 | 8 | 16 |
| TAG-132 | 25 | 9 | 18 |
| TA-200C1 | 25 | 16 | 32 |
*Please note:
The number of beer pumps is based on an assumed operating pressure of 2.5 bar, a maximum dispensing rate of 2 l/min and an air requirement of 12 l/min per pump. It is intended merely as a guide. The decisive factor for selecting the correct compressor type is the required maximum dispensing volume in l/min, regardless of the number of connected drinks pumps. For example, a UA-025 may be sufficient to operate 5 pumps if the maximum dispensing volume during peak times is less than 2 l/min. As a general rule, the number of connected pumps depends on:
- Pipe length
- Pipe diameter
- Operating pressure
- Required air volume
