Nitrogen generators for your analytical applications
PSA technology is the ideal method for achieving high levels of purity and is used in all our models. Pressure swing adsorption (PSA) separates nitrogen molecules from oxygen molecules by adsorbing the oxygen from the compressed air stream. Adsorption occurs when molecules bind to an adsorbent. In this case, the oxygen molecules bind to a carbon molecular sieve.
Efficient nitrogen separation reduces the overall air demand whilst ensuring the production of high-purity nitrogen. This results in lower actual operating costs and a reduced carbon footprint.
Thanks to its compact dimensions, the nitrogen generator can be installed under the workbench to save space.

Why is hydrocarbon-free nitrogen important?
A hydrocarbon trap significantly improves gas quality. This is particularly important in GC analysis, amongst other applications. The separator ensures a high-purity output gas (99.9999% or 6.0 degrees) with a residual moisture content of <0.05 ppm, thereby guaranteeing reliable analysis.
Separators are an essential component of GC analysis, as impurities in gases can significantly affect the quality of the results. Hydrocarbons can lead to problems such as background noise, altered peak shapes, false-positive results or reduced efficiency.
