What are the advantages of oil-free compressors?

Oil-free compressors reduce the risk of oil contamination and are particularly suitable for applications with high demands on air quality, process reliability and ease of maintenance. At the same time, they eliminate the need for oil changes, oil filters and oil separators in the compression process. High-quality oil-free piston compressors also offer compact designs, durable construction and a reliable supply of compressed air, even under demanding conditions.

What are the advantages of oil-free piston compressors over screw compressors?
Oil-free piston compressors are particularly suitable for applications requiring low to medium air flow rates, frequent start-stop cycles and high standards of air quality. Thanks to their compact design, many Dürr Technik models can be flexibly integrated into machinery, vehicles and OEM systems.
What is the best oil-free compressor?

How can I work out whether a piston compressor or a screw compressor is better suited to my application?
This depends primarily on the application, the required flow rate and the operating conditions. Reciprocating compressors are particularly suitable for low to medium flow rates, frequent start-stop cycles, and compact and integrated applications. They are therefore often used in machinery, vehicles, laboratories or OEM systems. Screw compressors, on the other hand, are frequently used where very high flow rates are required on a continuous basis and in centralised compressed air systems.
