The MC series is a range of main air compressors developed specifically for the rail sector. It is based on over 40 years’ expertise and experience in oil-free piston compressors. Customised compressed air generation system
Main air compressors from the MC series are suitable for installation in a wide variety of vehicle types and can be customised to suit the specific installation requirements. Both the dryer and the welded frame can be individually adapted to the respective vehicle type and installation situation.Motors suitable for frequency conversion / IE3 / IE1 motors
The main air compressor is driven by a continuous-duty motor. The motor was specially developed for use in rail vehicles and is designed for operation with a frequency converter.
Withstands high levels of vibration for the entire service life
The MC series main air compressors are fitted with extremely robust wire rope vibration dampers. These protect the compressor and the vehicle from severe vibrations and ensure trouble-free operation. The vibration dampers are maintenance-free throughout the compressor’s service life.Alternatively, vibration dampers made from rubber elements can also be used. Oil-free means trouble-free and environmentally friendly
Oil-free compressors protect the environment by conserving the scarce resource of oil and by avoiding oil and oil filter waste.- No need to check oil levels or change the oil
- No costs for oil, filters or the disposal of waste oil

- Shock-resistant in accordance with DIN EN 61373:2011-04
- Fire and smoke resistance in accordance with DIN EN 45545-2
- Temperature tests in accordance with IEC 60068-2
- Electromagnetic compatibility in accordance with DIN EN 50121-3-2:2017-11
